Time for a change

February 3rd, 2005

It’s time for a redesign I think. This design, although I love it dearly, is not the easiest to work with. It had to be adjusted to deal with so many browser differences and I want my site to focus primarily on content. The design will still give me the ability to go creatively crazy but I want it to be the placid harmony that everything else revolves around.

The server is also having a few problems at the moment but getting everything running smoothly and solving the dilemma has been top priority, as it always is. So if things are acting up, that’s probably why and no doubt It’s very temporary.

A few major changes have been going on around here lately. My mum and dad moved to Armidale (about 7 or so hours north of here), which probably doesn’t sound like a big deal, but when you’ve pretty much lived in the same suburb all your life it takes a bit of getting used to. The way we communicate will change, the way events are planned, the way our lives move will change pace. I suddenly felt like I was all alone, having them not there anymore. I’m probably just a big sook heh. I’ll miss my mum just dropping around to visit for a cuppa. I will just have to adapt.

The second big change is my decision to go back to full time study and to do my HSC again. In my senior years of high school I had the chance to do brilliantly in my elective subjects but stupidly discovered a social life around the end of the year and gave it all away. I no longer cared and ruined all the years of hard work. So I’m doing it now )

I’ll be doing it over the two years as per normal, through TAFE. So this year is my Year 11 preliminaries and next the HSC. Still doing Information Technology, but am now doing it as a module of my HSC, so not only will it count toward my UAI, but I will receive a certificate and be qualified in that area also.

I’ve just started and feeling so good about it, loving it. Study becomes an entirely different experience when you’re older and have experienced a lot more. After this is finished I’ll be heading off to university to probably do my BA. Not sure yet. Sociology and psychology is high on my list as is arts, teaching and music, but I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it. For now, I’m just enjoying studying again.
