Cameras of Newness
October 17th, 2007
I feel like I’m starting all over again. It’s like I’ve just finished High School and I have to decide what course to enroll in, what to do with my life. It’s kind of unsettling. I’ve reached a point where I do believe work needs to be something you enjoy doing. I’ve worked most of my life to “pay the bills” but it doesn’t satisfy. It doesn’t allow me to sit back and be comfortable with what I have achieved.
At depth, I know what I have to do but I can’t seem to find a way to do it. I need to change direction, make of a mess of the routine. Howver I think this one is going to take some time. I’ll let you know when I come up with a solution.
In other news on ones life, I am back on the path to health and fitness; working out every day, eating lower calories, avoiding the chocolate (Darrell Lea’s mint dark chocolate rocklea road is evil)
I bought myself a camera… I did want an SLR but alas my bank account said no and that I could have something similar to an SLR but not an actual SLR … SO I bought myself a Powershot S5 IS (cheaper than the G9, which was an option too.. remember.. lack of the moneys). It’s 12x optical zoom, 8mp and comes with a number of deliriously delicious features. I’m aware of the noise issues at ISO 200 or above and I just don’t care. I don’t see me having a need to use anything higher than that much anyway. I almost bought the Powershot SX100 IS and am VERY glad that I didn’t. I was excited because it was only $350 and it had 10x zoom and 8mp and la la la. But then I started getting suspicious. That price was a little TOO low.
Yep the SX100 IS seems to be made on the cheap, plastic, bad lense, atrocious movie recording.. bla bla. So I am happy I didn’t get it.
Oh my god. It’s here! Haha, I just heard a knock at the door, scared the crap out of me because I was concentrating on typing. Tis the camera. Delivered in one day? Wow. Ok So I’m off to play with this baby now and will be back with a full review and pictures galore. Yeah yeah, I know, it’s been almost a month since I posted. I’m a professional procrastinator.. what do you expect!
